Accepting things we struggle with can often lead to the inner peace we crave. Understanding how (and why) our mind can give us a very hard time is crucial to learning how to live mindfully. The development of a set of practices that foster resilience and inner toughness helps us to manage those speed humps when they come, or even a chronic mental health issue.

Mindfulness is a great skill to develop as it helps us to be present, not only to manage those difficult negative thoughts that seem to endlessly stream in our minds, but also to notice and be aware of the good things that do happen every day. Developing these skills has been shown to increase happiness and a sense of being in control of our lives.
